PROVO -Andrew Rich help save the season and the game for BYU Saturday as his last second interception in the endzone help preserve a 42-35 win over UNLV.
The former all-state Laker, who played at Snow College last year, is a walk-on to the Cougar program and is getting more playing time each game.
“That’s big for us. We have a bunch of guys who love to win and are fighters,” Rich said. “We knew they’d come out and play hard. We got beat pretty good last week but we worked hard and came out after working hard and responded in a positive way.”
Rich said his interception just landed in his hands.
“I timed it pretty well,” he said. “I knew that (No.) 18 is a pretty good jumper and they like to get it to him and have him go up over everybody. I didn’t know where he was, I just tried to go up and hold on to it.”
